Quarry Run Dog Park

Quarry Run Dog Park

For dog owners looking to take their pups on a scenic walk or off-leash run, Quarry Run Dog Park is the place to go. However, owners are advised to check out the specific times to avoid violating the park rules.

For busy pet parents, it can be difficult to give your pup the attention they need. That’s where a local dog walker comes in. More by clicking here.

Cherry Park Off-Leash Dog Area

This large off-leash park is the perfect place for city dogs to run and play untethered. It’s fenced with 6ft livestock fencing and features a double-gated entry system. There are separate areas for small and large dogs, and the ground is covered in wood chips to keep the dust down and avoid mud. There’s seating throughout the park and a few tables and chairs in the off-leash area.

The only rule at this park is that dogs must be leashed outside of the off-leash dog area and upon entering and exiting. Other than that, it’s a good idea to have a bag for picking up poop, as this is considered an important part of responsible pet ownership and helps to prevent infectious diseases from spreading to other pets and humans.

The 107-acre park is open to the public for a small fee, and there are specific hours for dogs to be off their leashes. It can get crowded on weekends, so plan accordingly.

Eastern Promenade Trail w/Off Leash Area

Located along Ocean Avenue in Portland, this park features the Eastern Promenade Trail (with an off-leash area), East End Beach, and a community garden. The trail is a beautiful hike with spectacular water views and also connects to Back Cove and Bayside trails. This is a great place to spend the day with your dog. Be sure to stop for lunch at one of the dog-friendly restaurants nearby like Hot Suppa, Independent Ice Cream Company, or Luke’s Lobster.

The 68-acre historic landscape designed by Olmsted Brothers is the perfect spot for public recreation and enjoyment all year round. It features sweeping views of Casco Bay, the Eastern Promenade Multi-Use Trail, Will’s Playground, a public boating ramp, and mooring field, East End Beach, picnic areas, community gardens, and world-class sledding in winter. This is a dog-friendly park with off-leash areas, but dogs must be under voice control at all times. For more information, visit the City’s website here. Visit another area in town here.

Willard Beach

When you need to stretch your legs and explore the nooks and crannies of Portland, this expansive dog park is one of the best options. There are wooded areas, plenty of clear space to enjoy a game of fetch, and at least 10 acres for your furry friend to roam free in this popular spot among locals and visitors.

This quaint beach is located in a quieter rural area and seems tucked away from the busyness of the city. Visitors and residents both thoroughly enjoy this lovely sand and water location that is pet-friendly year round with some minor restrictions like no dog off-leash play in the dunes and a requirement that dogs be under voice control at all times.

Portland’s warm hospitality and plethora of pet-friendly restaurants, breweries, and other venues make this coastal city a dream for both human and canine companions alike. To make the most of your stay, book a dog walking adventure with Wag! and let a background-checked, local pet walker get your pup the potty breaks and exercise they need to stay happy and healthy.

East Deering

A fenced-in dog park for the pet owners of this heavily populated neighborhood, Quarry Run offers a chance for pups and their humans to explore on walking trails and off-leash areas. This park also has access to the water for a more adventurous walk or play session.

This is a great place to take your pampered pooch if you don’t have any yard space at home. The dogs here seem well behaved and the people watch their play style to step in when it gets too rough or if little ones need a break.

For busy pet parents, it can be challenging to make sure your pup has time for potty breaks and exercise. That’s where Wag! comes in. Our local Portland dog walkers are background-checked and ready to provide your pup with the care they need while you’re away. Just schedule a walk with our app and you’ll be able to leave your dog with a trusted friend in no time! Refer to This Web Page.
